How is My Gift Basket Packed?

SugarPaww takes special care to make sure that every pet gift basket arrives in safely and in perfect condition.  Each order is individually hand-packed with the utmost care to ensure that the contents won’t be damaged during transit.  We carefully pack each gift basket with plenty of cushioning between the gift basket and the outer box to allow for any shifting and prevent crushing of the contents.  We also use UPS as our preferred shipper because of their reputation for handling all packages with respect and care.  If you ever receive a package from SugarPaww that is damaged, please contact us at  This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it immediately so that we can resolve the situation to your satisfaction.

When Will My Gift Basket Ship?

Orders placed Monday through Friday before 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time (PST) will generally be picked up by UPS the same day. After 2:00 p.m. PST, packages will generally ship by the next business day.   If there is an unforeseen problem with pick up, we will notify you of the delay immediately.  We always make every effort to ensure that your purchase is shipped in a timely manner.

When Will It Arrive?

We ship UPS Ground from San Diego, California and shipping times will vary depending on where you live. You can use the color coded UPS Shipping Map below to figure out the how long it will take.


UPS Ground makes deliveries Monday - Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

For example: A package going to Florida will take 4 business days. The pick up day does not count as a shipping day. If the gift basket was ordered on Monday evening at 8:00 p.m. EST, it would leave Sugar Paww on Tuesday and would arrive in 4 business days on Monday. (Saturday and Sunday do not count as Transit Days).

Can I Get the Shipment Faster?

Yes.  If you have a special occasion or some other reason that means you need your order shipped faster, Sugar Paww will make every effort to meet your delivery needs.  If our standard UPS Ground service just can’t get your purchase to you fast enough, we do have other shipping options available, including UPS Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air and 3 Day Select at additional cost.

How Much Will It Cost?

The cost of faster shipping varies depending on the type of service.  UPS Next Day Air, 2nd Day Air and 3 Day Select all involve air travel and can be significantly more expensive than our standard UPS Ground shipping.  The total charge will depend on your location and the size of the order being shipped. You will be prompted to choose your shipping method during the checkout process. The associated cost for each method will be located next to each option.

Generally, UPS Ground shipping costs starts at $9.77 and increases by distance travelled.
